Spotlight on Hrishikesh Uttekar: Bridging Technology and Education with Innovation
In the fast-paced world of technology, few blend technical expertise with passion as seamlessly as Hrishikesh Uttekar. As Creative and Operations Lead at 10xTechClub, he empowers young learners to create with technology, combining hands-on learning, mentorship, and a commitment to accessible tech education.
Mastering Operations and Development
Hrishikesh ensures smooth operations at 10xTechClub, from designing curricula to managing logistics. His ability to juggle multiple responsibilities—developing innovative prototypes and curriculum content, managing IT infra makers lab and creating absolutely amazing graphic content — has been key to scaling impact.
From Projects to Impact: A Hands-On Innovator
Hrishikesh turns ideas into tangible projects:
- Moon Rover with ESP32 Board: Showcased IoT’s potential in space tech.
- GPS-Based Smartwatch: Integrated hardware & software for real-time tracking.
- 3D-Printed Ironman Helmet: Designed and built a functional, motorized helmet with LEDs, inspiring peers in 3D printing.
- Automated Attendance System: Used RFID to cut manual errors drastically.
Shaping the Future of Skilling
Hrishikesh, who is part of 10xTechClub from Day 1, played instrumental role in designing the 12-month flagship Premier Accelerator Program (PAP). The program covering 3D Design and Printing, Embedded Systems and Arduino Programming, Robotics, IoT, Drones and SpaceTech among the 15+ technologies. This program has trained 30+ students who have developed amazing hackathon projects like Rovers, Automation Systems, Satellites etc. He also created the PictoBlox Blocks Guide, that helps in introducing kids as young as 7 to coding.
One standout workshop on 3D printing had students designing and printing mini wind turbines. “Hrishikesh made 3D printing so easy to understand,” said a participant.
Expertise in 3D Printing and Graphic Design
Hrishikesh is a powerhouse in 3D printing and graphic design, pushing the boundaries of creativity and functionality. From designing intricate product prototypes to crafting visually stunning graphics, his work combines precision and artistry. He has developed highly detailed 3D-printed models, motorized prototypes, and custom-designed branding materials. “Hrishikesh’s skills in 3D printing and design have transformed how we approach projects”, said a colleague, praising his ability to turn ideas into reality with unmatched finesse.
Creative Outreach and Engagement
Beyond teaching, Hrishikesh amplifies 10xTechClub’s reach through content creation. His IoT video series has over 10,000 views. Satchidanand from TechM’s MakersLab called his field trip video “Storytelling at its best,” boosting workshop enrolments. (Check out the video at the end of this section)
A Lighter Side
Hrishikesh’s playful side surfaced when he bought a gel blaster gun for office fun. When it broke days later, he didn’t discard it—he 3D-printed the damaged part, fixing it himself.
What’s Next for Hrishikesh?
Hrishikesh’s journey is far from over. He’s currently working on launching new workshops focused on using emerging technologies for innovative projects for high school students. Additionally, he’s developing a series of open-source project guides to make tech education accessible to a global audience.
