The Rise of Living Computers 🧠   TLDR: - Biocomputing uses human brain cells on silicon chips to create "living computers."
 - They are extremely energy efficient, using just 20 watts compared to a supercomputer which uses 40 million watts.
 - Cortical Labs' “DishBrain” learned to play Pong, showing their quick learning ability.
 - The main challenge is keeping the cells alive and stable while the computer components heat up
 - If successful, this could lead to a new generation of low-power, high-intelligence machines
 - We may be at the cusp of a revolution in biology-powered AI.

Igniting Innovation: PAP Cohort 3’s Software Hackathon 🚀   The excitement was electric as Cohort 3 of our Premier Accelerator Program (PAP) took the spotlight for their highly anticipated student software hackathon. Parents, mentors, and tech enthusiasts gathered to witness an inspiring display of creativity, problem-solving, and coding prowess. From deep-dive presentations to hands-on Python projects, the event celebrated the energy, curiosity, and innovation of our young learners.

 Presentations: Learning from Tech Innovators

The first segment of the hackathon focused on STEM learning through dynamic presentations. Students were assigned renowned tech personalities to research and present, exploring their groundbreaking contributions and inspiring the next generation of coders.

Alabhyaa captivated the audience with her presentation on Margaret Hamilton, NASA's pioneering software engineer. She highlighted Hamilton's work on real-time operating systems, interrupt-driven systems, and error recovery, demonstrating how software developed on punch cards shaped modern programming practices. |

    | | How 3D Printing is Changing the Way We Learn, Heal, and Create Remember when “technology” meant staring at a screen? These days, it can mean holding your own ideas in your hands! 3D printing is a little bit like magic — you design something on a computer, press “print,” and poof — it appears right in front of you. But it’s not just fun to watch. This amazing tech is changing classrooms, hospitals, and even the way kids explore their creativity.

In Classrooms: Learning You Can Hold Imagine studying the solar system and being able to hold a tiny planet in your palm, or learning about dinosaurs with a model of a T.Rex tooth you can actually touch. Teachers are using 3D printers to make lessons come alive. It’s perfect for curious kids who learn best when they can see and feel what they’re learning about.

In Hospitals: Helping in Real Life Doctors are using 3D printing to help patients in incredible ways. They can make special tools or create exact models of a patient’s heart or bone before surgery, so they know exactly what to expect. Kids who need prosthetic arms or legs can get ones that fit just right — and sometimes even choose their favorite colors or designs! In Creativity: Turning “What If” into “Here It Is!” For young inventors, artists, and tinkerers, 3D printing is a dream come true. You can design a toy, a piece of jewelry, or even a robot part — and then print it out. It’s a chance to experiment, make mistakes, try again, and see your imagination take shape right in front of you.

Why It Matters 3D printing is more than a cool gadget — it’s a bridge between ideas and reality. It’s making schoolwork more exciting, medical care more personal, and creativity more limitless. As this technology becomes more common, families might soon see it in their kids’ classrooms, their community hospitals, and maybe even at home. |
